Lisa joined the Association in 1993 as a part-time summer position during college. "That summer job has since transformed into an incredible career, for which I am immensely grateful to work alongside proactive West Michigan employers."
During the initial years, Lisa dedicated herself to learning and mastering employment and safety regulations and practices, while also fostering genuine partnerships with each member. In 2004, she earned a Senior Professional Human Resources certification, further enhancing her expertise in the field. In recognition of her exceptional contributions, she was promoted to President in 2005.
Throughout her tenure, she has closely collaborated with member organizations on various aspects concerning their employees. The Association is committed to providing valuable information and fostering connections to support organizations in their strategic workforce development. This commitment aligns perfectly with her own passion. At the regional level, she has actively served on numerous boards, advisory boards, and ad hoc committees, and is proud to be a Rotarian. Additionally, she actively participates in several national groups that support employers, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to bringing the best services and resources to West Michigan employers.
